Anansi Boys

I've just spoken to Neil Gaiman the novelist (he's also a mate of mine) and he says , 'Hey Len , don't forget to big up my new novel , 'Anansi Boys' , its a fantastic tale of Gods , Sibling rivalry, Magic , Sex , Karoake and drinking-it's number one in the New York Times best seller list' . Once I'd slapped him around one and two times up side the head with a bit of two by four , he calmed down. Then he said 'don't forget , you (Lenny) have done the audio version of Anansi boys for Houghton Headline (Harper Collins Audio in the states) , the audio book is available on Mp3 , Itunes and Audible.com. You've really performed it well , Len , people are saying very nice things about your performance'
I held off on the two by four at that moment- I felt a warm glow inside -I was being praised for doing something that I enjoyed anyway. It was a no brainer -the book is funny , it features Caribbean characters ,there's a huge fantasy element - it's right up my street. So check it out people... And if you don't know who Neil Gaiman is or what he does? You better ask somebody--
I'm off to work now , Kim Fuller and I are writing a drama comedy and we're at his house in Brighton today. Hey Ho.
