The tour is on

The tour is on -and we're going great guns! Fantastic audience at Warwick arts centre last night. .although the shock of moving from the minuscule Everyman theatre, with its cherubs and gilt and balcony's to the utilitarian multi purpose venue at Warwick was tangible to say the least.

I have to say, I do like it when we're in a theatre -the show seems to demand intimacy, and you can only get that when you're working somewhere that was built for intimacy.

Anyway, I'm starting to sound like Danny La Rue, so I'll shut up.

Thank you to all the people who wrote after the appearance on Parkinson, there were some lovely comments about the show; there were also a couple of not so lovely ones. But that's cool -I'm 46 now, I have to take the good with the bad, I also have to accept that I'm not everyone's cup of tea (there was a brief moment in the 80's when I thought I was SUPERCOMEDIAN DAN DAN DAAAAAN!But my illusions were dashed at a gig in Workington where the audience would really have preferred it if my privates had ignited for some reason). ..it's cool. I'm also aware that sometimes people freeze moments in their lives and whatever was around at that time that made that moment wonderful, they want it to stay the same forever. .so for some people, Stevie Wonder will always have the macrame set on his head and the poncho from the Talking Book cover, Madonna will always have the Gaultier Conical bra, Mr Orange, Mr Pink, Mr Black and the others will always be walking down that avenue dressed in shades and looking cool in Resevoir dogs and Lenny Henry will always be wearing a leopard skin headband and going 'Katanga my friends!'.

What's great, is that on this tour anyway, there seems to be a lot of people who are

interested in what's going on with me now.., what I'm thinking, where I'm going etc..and that is gratifying.

Other news : I'm sorry the Coast to Coast screening didn't happen, If there is going to be a screening at some stage, I'll let you know.

There's talk of me hosting a radio show for Radio Two -if it all goes off, watch the website for sparks.

I spoke to Caroline Lee Johnson (Janice From Chef) yesterday on the phone -she's fine, being a bit of a jobbing actress, she's just done a film in Romania with. ....Dolph Lundgren..oh yes!

I'm revising like mad for my Open University exam at the moment -I'm in mind map hell! Tony Buzan can kiss my shiny butt! (just kidding Tony -they really work).

I'm listening to the new Blue Nile Album at the moment -it is absolutely superb -no kidding. I highly reccomend it, its laid back, cool and very beautiful indeed.
Reading tonight, then Woking (hey, Woking Posse ! I was just kidding on Parky-you guys have always given me a good reception, so big up yourselves) and Then Canterbury. ..for the rest of the dates, check out 'Where's Len' on the home page. ..
Ok, well I've got to crack on with the revising (A Midsummer Night's dream today) so I'll be off. If you're coming to the gigs, come and say hello and let me know if you've been on the website.

I'm innerested, you know?

Just started watching Six Feet Under series 2 on DVD -Wow!

That's it -catch you on the flip flop.
