What's up my people?

It's been a while, I know -you'll have to forgive me I've been a tad busy.

I'm ramping up for Australia right now with my final UK Where you from dates. It's going ok -If you can make it, come down to the Richmond theatre tonight, (Wednesday 18th, Tomorrow 19th, Friday 20th or Saturday 21st of June) it was pretty good last night, although I was a bit ring rusty having had two nights off. Sometimes shows take a while to crank up, and you can hear the audience deciding whether they're going to be up for it or not... it was a bit like that last night - this mass of people sitting there thinking - 'Better be funny mofo... I handed over cash in a credit crunch!'

We got there in the end, I think - although I think as the week develops I'll get a bit more comfortable in the space.

We finally completed 'What's So Great About:' at Broadcasting house yesterday. This is the radio 4 series where I investigate these icons of culture like Bob Dylan, Lee Strasberg's method and the whole Life Coaching thing. The shows sound good and they're going out soon - I think we've stuck on a video about it somewhere on the site - check it out.

I did my grade one Jazz piano exam the other day. It was

quite a stressful day as well - had to go to a funeral directly afterwards, so I was dressed in sombre clothes... and it was strange because this was a Jazz piano exam. I walked in and this very nice caucasian gentleman welcomed me in and sat me down at the piano and it was all over in ten minutes. I don't know about you, but for a Jazz piano exam , I at least expect to see some dude in a dashiki and shades, shooting a questionable substance into his eyeball, whilst being massaged by a Thai mail order bride. Honestly - Reading Muso's - they've got no class.

I'm just kidding - the guy was great and then I had to go to this funeral which was incredibly moving and sad - but the bereaved behaved with great dignity and held up really well.

I remember at my mom's funeral, I was able to read the Eulogy and tell stories about my mom but it was very difficult - lots of tears and snot. But maybe that's how it's supposed to be, no?

I'm going to miss the UK for a bit, but when I come back at the beginning of August - we got things to do, Baby-Week 2 of the MA for screenwriting for film and TV, the big house move, and then the slow road to othello.

Anyone got any brown trousers?

Peace

Len
